Winter Break and Christmas

Christmas Winter Break

It was a cold, cloudy day in the City of Pewaukee and everything and everybody was quiet as a mouse. Roads were icy and quiet; schools were dead silent at the moment. Inside the schools, were kids sitting patiently with laps of excitement running through them. Kids all around were studying, in theory studying the clock just waiting ,tick by tick by tick, for the long hand on the clock to hit the “9”, then it would mean, goodbye school and hello cold icy snow, because it’s the time of year when kids get 12days of school off with no homework what so ever. That’s called Winter Break!!! So as a news paper reporter what is winter break and why does it only come once a year like Christmas? Idea of Winter Break around Christmas is time when people fly and drive all over the globe to be with family.
My idea of Winter Break is, going sledding being with friends and going shopping. But as everybody knows already that Winter Break is not just for kids to think that oh yeah it’s winter break and I’m just going to sit on a couch and do nothing all day long. WRONG!!!! Winter Break mainly comes because it’s that time around Christmas and that’s the time to spend with family because most families travel during the time and that’s mainly why there is such a thing called winter Break, not just because the school is being nice.
So Winter Break is not just doing nothing all day long Winter Break gives kids to think that we get 12 days of f of school and thinking what are we going to do or we going to have enough time to do what we planned. Winter Break is when you can go sledding , shopping, and being with friends, so I’ve shared my ideas with you and my thoughts of why Winter Break come only once a year like Christmas. So what are your ideas about why Winter Break comes only around the time of Christmas?
