Never Ending Story
When we are little we believe in magic and fairy dust. We loved to play dress up, pretend to be a doctor, cowboy, or in my case a gold medalist. But now we are facing real life as we get older. Facing life not pretending we are living in a fairy tale. As we start to grow up we start to forget how to use our imagination. Forgetting how once we pretended to be something you dreamed about becoming. Now that we are grown up we get to try to leave and become once that was just a little boy or girl dreamed about becoming.
At young ages like 2-5 parents ask what their kids want to be when they grow up. Parents will see their daughters in too big of fancy gowns wearing their mom’s high heels. Seeing their son playing with his dads tools. We say a princess, cowboy, hero, or in my case a gold medalist. As we get older they ask again are answers are famous football player, president, or in my case a famous soccer player. But as we start to enter high school and start worrying about what we want our future to be like, they start to want a serious answer.
During high school it’s a place to try to figure out what you want to be. What you want to do with your life, or how you will make a leaving, so you no what you want to go to collage for. All of those answers we had said when we were little what little kids dreamed about becoming high school is a place to try to answer those questions. When we said I want to be a cowboy, president, or a gold medalist those were dreams but in high school those are what you figure out how you going to make those dreams happen in collage.
People can dream about things they want or want to be. Dreaming about something doesn’t make it really you have to make them real. After kids have gone to high school having a answer of what they want to be collage is a place to learn more about it. Trying to make you have a career out of it. Though that’s not always the case. Sometimes people have dream but they don’t always work out it might be from money issues, didn’t have a good education, grades, or can’t get hired for the career job. Then you have a backup plan. A backup plan is when you had an idea of what you wanted to become but it’s where you had another idea if it didn’t work out the first time.
When parents ask what we want to be when we grow up we say rock star, president, cowboy, or gold medalist. When were older they ask again, are answers were football player, scientist, or teacher. Now that we’re older they want a serious answer. During that time we enter high school to find out what we want to be when we are on our own. High school is the time to think what you want to go into, to see what you want to go to college or not. In the time of collage people have big dreams about what they want to be. Though you can’t dream about what you want, you have to try to make the dream real. Making your dreams come true can be a hard thing sometimes. Otherwise it might be easy for some because everyone’s different. That not everyone is good at what they think they should do. After the time of collage you can start to live your dream, or trying to still find your dream. Now that we are grown up we get to try to leave and become once was just a little boy or girl dream.
